“Great venue, great location.”

Layout perfect for family holiday. 2nd year we have stayed here. Would love to come again, satisfied with facilities, equipment etc. However, cleaning products and cloths would be good. Only real issue, hopefully we will be replaced the mattreses for the double bed way to firm with no cushion inpacting on sleep and recharge (and bad backs). Shower pressure brilliant

“We have just returned home from a week at Moelfre.”

The cottage is in an ideal location, and very quiet. The cottage it a great size and is ideal for families and a great base. It definitely had everything we needed. But for us the beds (except the singles) were far too hard and uncomfortable. The damp that is all on the wall above the single bed (against the wall) is horrendous and should not be like that at all. It is pulling the paint and plaster from the wall. There are other patches of damp in the living room and dining room. This is very disappointing especially with the price you pay. It is a shame as this is somewhere we would return to, but I could not return with that level of damp.

Our sincere apologies for the damp patches. We’ve now repaired a small crack in the gable end wall and the problem has gone away. The cottage is 130 yrs old and cavity walls weren’t a thing back then so any issues show internally. We’re glad you liked everything else about the house. Property Owner

“What a beautiful house in a idyllic village.”

This is our 30th year visiting Anglesey and it's a home from home. Will definetely stay in Moelfre again, loved the pub & fish and chip shop. The only down was wifi access. Lovely base whilst staying here

“It was very disappointing to find the cottage not as clean as it should have been upon arrival.”

I would have dealt with some of the minor things myself, ie dirty dishwasher filter in need of a rinse and wheel from basket runner left loose inside the basket, congealed food inside the fitted kitchen bin, food crumbs in the cutlery drawer and biscuit barrel, cupboard shelves in need of a wipe, etc had there been any cleaning products available to use, but there was not even so much as a j cloth or disposable sponge left for guests use. We immediate went out to purchase some antibac spray and cloths but on returning and then noticing the state of the downstairs toilet, it was a step too far. Seat and lid left up showing dried stains around the top, and dirty used bowl. This was when we contacted you. Your cleaner arrived after our phone conversation to deal with these matters and said she wasnt allowed to leave any cleaning products for guests use. This seems very strange as we holiday in dog friendly cottages two or three times a year, and there has always been something left to freshen the cottage ourselves during the week. The cleaner has now left a bottle of bleach and some j-cloths. I appreciate cleaners only have a limited amount of time between bookings but some things do require more attention from time to time. I.e. the black mould around the conservatory windows and bedroom balcony doors, bird muck on the inside of the bedroom window. Also the fan in the bathroom does not work, and there is a leak under the bathroom sink which has a small containor to catch the drips. The dustpan and brush need replacing as the flexible edge of the dustpan is missing so and dirt gets swept under the gap instead of into the pan. Also the broom doesn't sweep the hard floors very well. Currently the garden needs some attention, it is quite overgrown and does not look like the picturers on the website. It would be useful for the listing to state that some of the garden has a wall height of around 1m, which for many dogs is very easy to jump over. The cottage itself is lovely, in a perfect position so it seems a shame to spoil the experience over things that could be easily rectified.

Dear Terry, When you called we immediately tasked the housekeeper to re attend and she found very little wrong on her arrival. Perhaps one of your other guests used the loo on arrival but rest assured it was cleaned and checked before your arrival. My suspicions of your ‘problems’ was confirmed when you suggested you should get some money off the rental to the housekeeper. When I messaged you to check everything was ok you didn’t respond so why leave your concerns here and not give us chance to meet your expectations? “Seiriol View is a 10 out of 10 property for cleanliness and location, in fact everything.”

The beds are very comfy, we both slept like logs. We took our Labradoodles, Wilf and Billy, and because the garden is totally enclosed we were able to let them out to play safely. We spent a week from Saturday 3rd June, and we didn't want to leave. The weather was perfect, warm with a fresh breeze. It is a credit to the owners and we would like to visit Moelfre again. Thank you.

“A lovely spacious house, in one of the best villages on Anglesey.”

Beautifully decorated, with nice touches, like interesting art on the walls, it is very well equipped. This was a perfect base for my family (ranging from mid 30s to 66) to walk the Anglesey Coast Path - all of it - and spend quality time together. I’ve seen comments that the third bedroom, the twin, is small and suited to children, but with so much space in the rest of the house it was fine for adults. Everything spotless. Great to meet the owner too.

“Lovely detached cottage with great views over the village of Moelfre to the sea.”

The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable and we wanted for nothing. The garden was fully enclosed so our dogs could safely play outside, and we took average of the nice weather to sit out too. The village has a decent pub, cafe/restaurant, ice cream booth, fish and chip shop, local shop and a RNLI visitor centre all within a few minutes walk. So peaceful on the island, we didn't want to come home. Many thanks!

“Great location to explore beautiful Anglesey with the local pub, cafe and shop all in easy walking distance.”

Property is tastefully fitted out making it perfect for us to take our dogs. The only issue is the log burner in the lounge which needs urgent attention otherwise it should not be in use. The door does not shut with no seal and it is therefore presenting a carbon monoxide danger.

“Lovely cottage, however, wasn't expecting the games room to be in a detached building, more like a small garage so had to walk out of cottage and was a cold room as the radiator did not work.”

The twin bedded room is only really suitable for children, very small with absolutely no space to put clothes or dressing gowns as there wasn't even a coat hook on back of the door. Although it was adequate for a couple of nights stay but no longer. I don't want this to detract from the great cottage and hospitable host, just maybe make this a bit clearer in the listing.

Thank you for your feedback.The twin room has 2 x 3 ft single beds with a bed side table between them. We wouldn’t consider it small and in fact at one point there was a double bed in the room but singles seem more popular. There’s a tall set of drawers and hanging space just outside the room for guest use. We’ll definitely add a coat hook behind the door. Property Owner

“Beautiful cottage.”

We loved staying here. It was clean and spacious. The log fires were lovely on a cold evening. Pool table a real bonus. Secure and fully enclosed garden. Sea views from the balcony and the garden. Private parking. The village pub was relaxing, clean and dog friendly. Its worth visiting Beaumaris which is a beautiful village. Only advice I'd give is to take a torch as there a short lane on the way up to the cottage which isn't lit up. Highly recommended holiday home, one of the nicest we've stayed in so far.

The coast path there is perfect for short dog walks to watch the sunrise. Unspoilt Lligwy beach is about 2 miles away, you do have to pay to park but it’s well worth it. We really enjoyed our stay

“The house is really nice.”

Heating in every room. Lovely and roomy. Very clean. The settees are a bit low if you have difficulty with movement. The water pressure is fantastic and 'eventually' the water is very very hot for a lovely shower. The location is fantastic and with privacy and no chance of the dogs escaping. Everything is provided for your use but you have to bring your own things to use them. Ie coffee maker. Bring your own pods. Log fire buy your own logs. So you need to be aware. The pub is a short walk away and so is coffee shop and icecream parlour. All in all a really good property and well worth the money.

“Seriol View is a beautiful house, it is spacious and provides everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday.”

We loved the sunny conservatory and sat in there most of the week when not out. The house feels very private and secluded and has stunning views of the sea, the garden is perfect for dogs and also has the sea views. The house has its own private driveway and ample parking. The location of the house is perfect, sitting a few minutes walk from the centre of the picturesque village of Moelfre. We (and our two dogs) loved everything about our stay in Seriol View and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Moelfre is a charming village, it offers a great pub and also a lovely pantry/cafe (both of which serve delicious food), as well as a little convenience shop. Everyone we met in the village were very friendly, welcoming and made us feel at home. Seiriol View is a lovely property to stay in, it is well equipped and had everything we needed. We had our two dogs with us, so having a secure garden was an added bonus. There is plenty of space both inside and outside the house, which allowed us to relax and chill.

The house was very comfortable and homely, and it's location ideal. Once the car was parked up we didn't need to move it again for days as everything needed is close by, including a handy well stocked shop for milk on arrival, a fantastic chippy, a pub serving hot meals and the gorgeous cafe Ann's Pantry ( note this opens in evening only at weekends and throughout summer holidays) Although the house is right in centre of Moelfre sitting directly behind Kinmel Arms it was very quiet and in a private setting with a raised deck for sea views - just perfect. Moelfre is the perfect base to explore the island - and Seiriol View the perfect holiday cottage there with a well equipped kitchen, a fresh clean bathroom with endless hot water and comfy beds.

On our last day the kettle stopped working, I contacted the owner to see if their was a spare one, and also so he could sort something for the next guests arriving the following day. He came and sorted a spare one for us which was in the garage so that we could have a hot drink and then returned a couple of hours later with a brand new one, very impressed. Would definitely return.

“Amazing cottage within a couple of minutes from a cafe, a pub, a fish and chip shop, the village store and most importantly, great coastal walks.”

The living room is spacious with really comfortable sofas and chairs, the kitchen is so well equipped it is like being at home (except for the electric hob that took me two days to work properly! It's simple, I'm just used to gas!) There is loads of space for coats and wet dogs in the rear cloakroom area that can be directly accessed from the garden, and also an outbuilding with washing machine and extra fridge freezer and even more space for muddy boots etc. It was unseasonally warm for October when we went but the central heating was very efficient and we lit a fire in the living room fire place a couple of times as well. We would definitely return. Dogs loved it too!

The property

One of Anglesey's most beautiful villages, Moelfre, is home to this superb stone-built cottage, Seiriol View.

Dogs are welcome at Sieriol View, which sits on the east coast of Anglesey and is just a short walk from the town's shops and restaurants, as well as boasting wonderful sea views from its interior.

Step into the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a washing machine and dishwasher, where you can impress your loved ones with flavourful dishes.

Savour your meal at the dining table in front of the flickering woodburning stove, or if the weather is nice, or dine alfresco in the fully enclosed garden with breath-taking views of Moelfre Bay while your four-legged friends play.

Enjoy the last of the sun's rays in the conservatory with a good book and your favourite tipple as the evening cools.

Whip up a bowl of popcorn and enjoy a family film night on the flat screen TV with Sky and DVD player, as your canine companions snuggle up in front the crackling woodburning stove.

On the ground floor you will also find a handy cloakroom, ideal for quick freshen ups!

As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can choose from three well-appointed bedrooms, a king-size with balcony, and ideal setting for enjoying your morning coffee, an additional king-size and a twin, all with storage and panoramic sea views.

In the morning, prepare for the day in style with a soak in the bath or refreshing shower before heading out for the day to explore.

If you're looking for a place to eat, the Kinmel Arms pub is just a short walk away, serving a tasty menu and it's dog-friendly, too!

Ann's Pantry and Coastal Café are also located in the village, as well as Y Siop, where you can pick up any necessities.

See local animals including seabirds, seals, and even dolphins at the historic Molefre Lifeboat Station and Seawatch Centre or take a stroll down the charming pebbled Moelfre Beach and treat yourself to an ice cream from the nearby parlour.

Situated on the beautiful east coast of Anglesey, Moelfre is a delightful seaside village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque port, a beach, fine views of Snowdonia, a working lifeboat, and two quality pubs/restaurants. Visit the hugely popular local Seawatch Centre, enjoy fishing or watching sea birds, seals and even dolphins, or discover wonderful cliff-top walks with stunning mountain views. The village has many historic links, the most recent being the site of the tragic Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859. There are stunning sandy beaches nearby, at Benllech and Lligwy, and the lovely Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open sands and birdlife. A perfect location for travelling around this lovely island and throughout beautiful Snowdonia.
