    “An wonderful house with a beautiful view.”

    " A perfect location to explore the rest of Anglesey. The house was perfect for us with good fishing locally. After visiting National trust properties in the area we would get back for a good soak in the hot tub. We did have a problem with hot tub, but when we rang Sykes it was all sorted in a matter of hours. 10 out of 10 for this. Bedrooms were spacious and the views over the Menai were awesome We watched the red squirrels that were in the trees at the side of this property. We loved our ...

The property

Cae Gallt is a lovely stone-built cottage overlooking the Menai Strait with panoramic views of Snowdonia.The detached cottage sits in a large sheltered garden with lawned area, mature planting and has an elevated terrace to relax on and enjoy the views.The paved driveway allows for the parking of two or three cars, depending on their size.

This is a holiday home where even the kitchen sink offers a stunning view, enter through the contemporary kitchen, which you will find is well-suited for self-catering holidays having a 5-ring gas range, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and the essential Nespresso coffee machine!Just off the kitchen is a utility area which houses the washing machine and leads to a cloakroom with a WC and wash-hand basin.

Passing from the kitchen you will find a large, long open-plan sitting and dining space.The wooden dining table has enough seating to comfortably seat up to eight people, this is the ideal space for a sociable dinner, the welcoming seating area has sofas set around the wood burning stove and benefits from flat screen TV, DVD, CD player.This room has French windows which open from both the sitting and dining area allowing you easy access out onto the glorious terraced area of the garden.

Downstairs you have added bonus of being able to enjoy a double bedroom with en-suite containing a large walk-in shower, loo and wash hand basin.

Alternatively head upstairs at the end of the day to find your rest in one of the three delightful bedrooms found on the second floor.The smallest room has a single bed, with a pull-out trundle, perfect for a younger brother or sister, this room has the advantage of being the closest to the family shower-room which has a walk-in shower, WC and wash hand basin.Along the corridor is the second relaxing double bedroom tastefully decorated in soothing pastels.Finally, the master suite, which is elegantly furnished with a double bed and charming linen, you have the use of an Apple TV, while the en-suite bathroom houses a double ended bath, walk-in shower, WC and basin.

The garden is a complete delight!It is enclosed and sheltered, with a well-maintained lawn and shrubbed areas.The elevated terrace is perfect and offers great views out across the Menai Strait.Relax in the evening after a day’s adventure and imagine sitting here with a glass of bubbly - or drink of choice - soaking up the views and the sunshine.That’s not to mention the hot tub - bliss!Cae Gallt is perfectly appointed for those wonderful family get togethers or meeting up with longtime friends.

If you can tear yourself away from the magnificent views from this cottage you will find the delights of Anglesey and Snowdonia easily accessible.There are a myriad of opportunities close by from crabbing on the pier at Beaumaris to an exciting trip on the Straits on a Rib Ride boat.Cae Gallt is just a few minutes' drive from both Beaumaris and Menai Bridge, where you can find a wide variety of great pubs, cafes, restaurants and interesting places to visit.

About the location

MENAI BRIDGE

Llanfairpwllgwyngyll 2 miles; Bangor 2.5 miles; Beaumaris 4.5 miles; Caernarfon 8 miles

This delightful town sits right on the edge of the Isle of Anglesey and is home to one of two bridges to mainland Wales. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 7th century, hence the name of the 15th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around. The Snowdonia National Park is within driving distance for you outdoor enthusiasts, it has wonderful walking, cycling and opportunities to see some beautiful sights. Nearer to the town, there are some incredible places including the popular towns of Beaumaris and Caernarfon with their majestic castles and much more to do.
