“A stunning little place, compact but with everything you need for a comfortable holiday.”

The views are gorgeous from all the seating areas including the ones indoors. Lovely walks from the doorstep to the Anglesey Coastal path either northwards to Cemlyn Bay Wildlife Trust Reserve or south to Church Bay. Wavecrest Cafe at Church Bay is well worth a visit but check opening times. Tracey is very helpful with getting to the coastal path and any other questions you may have. Thank you

“We tried to change the dates for this booking as I had work commitments over the weekend at the start of this booking, we contacted sykes cottages around 3 months prior to arriving but they said the owner was not willing to change the dates even though the following weekend was still free at this time, On arrival on our first day (Monday instead of friday) the owner was at the cottage and advised us that she knew nothing about this.”

Not only do I feel lied to by sykes cottages , but they proved they don't have very good customer service Also the cottage when originally booked advertised having a hot tub. But they was bo sign of it on arrivel

Interior furnishing classy Very clean The Views were stunning , very relaxing and quiet just what’s needed to wind down from a hectic life The 3 outside seating areas a little neglected in the gardening area , bind weed and weeds ++ over plants and pots . Furniture needed painting , A shame because the areas all well placed to view the countryside and coast We did have to contact the owner re a mishap we had , she was more than helpful and supportive so many thanks

“West Mouse View is a delightful place to base yourself on Anglesey.”

It’s beautifully decorated, with everything you could need, finished off with a stunning view and birds singing. You can walk to the coast path from the property which we would highly recommend as the coastline is just stunning. Peaceful and comfortable. Our only comment otherwise would be that where to put the recycling items info is vague, and it would be fab if the curtains held together better when drawn across the stunning windows at the front. We loved our stay and highly recommend you go there if thinking about staying on Anglesey.

We loved it! You can walk down to the coast and join the Angelsey Coastal Path and complete a good stretch of it before looping back to the accommodation. For a couple there was everything you needed within the studio from modern kitchen facilities to a powerful shower. Really comfortable and cosy! Highly recommended.

Just read the guest logbook, and everyone says the same; it’s so lovely. The location is so picture perfect with gorgeous views of sea and land. The owners are also so very friendly and helpful, which is just an added bonus. We’ll definitely return. Oh yeah, the coastal walk is an hour to the Lobster Pot, which is delightful.

Well thought out layout, both inside and the available seating outside. Excellent use of space with the combined oven/microwave unit (which worked really well for us). Enjoyed watching and listening to the nature surrounding the property (and our visit from a rather athletic cow from the top field!!). My wife said it had been one of the best holidays we had ever been on due to the tranquility of the place.

“Beautiful cottage.”

We were not aware the owners were literally opposite. Hard to have privacy with curtains open knowing they could possibly walk by. No problems or issues until our last day. Owner had a delivery which blocked the whole road out. We got up to go out and had to wait a few hours which put us back on our plans. Owner said she tried to call. We are away on a break from everything so do not want our phones on and shouldnt have our trip interupted with the owner calling us. We dont understand why this was done on our last day! This could have been arranged for the following morning when we checked out. It ruined an otherwise great week. We found it quite inconsiderate! We managed to get out only on oyr return to yet again be called by the owner. Yes only to apologise but we are on our holiday and dont expect to keep getting bothered. Dont think we would stay again purely down to privacy and as the new delivery looked like a new rental property it was placed directly in front of the cottage and I wouldnt want to sit looking out of the window at it. It has definately ruined the view. Im glad it was not there when we booked. Apart from that we had a great time.

“The accommodation was furnished to a good standard and peaceful despite the near proximity (approx.”

100m) of another holiday property in which 9 people were staying. The roads near to the property are very narrow with blind corners but there is little traffic. We had no mobile phone signal but the internet connection was good. The owner was very helpful in sending a engineer when we had a problem accessing the tv channels on the Sky tv. The worst feature of the property was that it was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the shower and it veered between lukewarm and very hot. Also we felt the provision of pans for cooking was poor with only one saucepan, and several plates had large chips in the edge. However these are minor gripes - overall the property was comfortable and we enjoyed our holiday here. It is rather remote but we would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet holiday.

“West Mouse View is an ideal studio apartment in which to stay on Anglesey.”

The views are to die for, the facilities are first class and the bed is extremely comfortable, as is the two seater settee if you fancy a quiet night in! The shower has a powerful and plentiful water supply, and the kitchen is well equipped for a short break. West Mouse View postcode will take you slightly past the property, but the wheelie bins at the entrance to the drive do feature the property name. Do drive carefully, the roads leading to WMV are very narrow, but the breathtaking scenery and the peace and quiet more than makes up for it! Secluded location, but I would recommend the Lobster Pot restaurant nearby, and a few good pubs in the vicinity. Tracy our host left us a welcoming bottle of wine, and was always on hand if we needed any help. We will definitely be returning! Mandy and Peter, Harlow, Essex

Externally you have 3 seating areas all with panoramic views , my only tiny complaint is that the SAT NAV takes you to a property 200 M down the hill so a sign post saying West Mouse View on the main road would help. Finally the personal greeting gifts and card were very much appreciated.

“The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.”

The bed is very comfortable with quality bedding. It is located in a remote quiet setting with lovely views but ideally situated for touring the island. There is a table and chairs and a bench outside which get afternoon and evening sun. Whilst the cottage was spotlessly clean there was a toilet brush that had seen better days, but I would expect that to be changed. There was only 1 hand towel and 2 bath towels but when I asked the lovely owner Tracy for more we were provided with 2 extra bath sheets straight away. We also ran out of toilet paper but luckily had brought some with us but I’m sure if asked for they would be replenished. The tv is tiny but Tracy said that is going to be changed for a much bigger one. The only downside for us was that we tended to wake up very very early as the curtains let all the light in. If you also find it hard to sleep unless it is dark I would suggest you take some eye masks. There are two other rentals nearby - one for 2 and another for 10-11 - whilst we were there the larger property wasn’t occupied so it was very quiet. There is also a main house nearby which is currently being renovated so the entrance does resemble a building site at the moment. We had a brilliant week which was made all the better by the lovely sunshine. We toured most of the island, had a couple of beach days and did a lot of walking along the coastal path. Anglesey is a beautiful island not to be missed.

“Superb well presented property with spectacular views.”

A real “get away from it all” place. Well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean when we arrived. Large comfy bed, and good bathroom with superb shower. A couple of small negatives. The lane down to the property is very rough and full of potholes and the approach could be a bit tidier. Also, the place could do with a larger TV. The one in place is very small and has poor sound. In all however, a wonderful spot!

“This compact and cosy cottage is very well designed with imaginative use of space.”

Views are fantastic with well placed seating giving a choice of places to relax and enjoy different aspects of the view. Should the weather not invite using the outside space the view can be enjoyed through the floor to ceiling windows from the comfortable settee or while dining at the table. It is very well equipped including the usual hair dryer, and iron and board. Kitchen includes a combination microwave giving the option to use a conventional oven and to grill, as well as a small dishwasher. The shower is excellent with powerful flow of water. We were greeted with a lovely flower arrangement using some blooms from the colourful bank of flowers in the garden. On clear nights the stars are great too in this quiet and relaxing spot.

“Amazing! The most perfect, large chalet/lodge, brand new, with beautiful decor of white and grey, fully equipped and the best quality.”

A blissful bed, total comfort, and on arrival a welcome bottle of bubbles, chocs,, milk in the fridge and a vase of fresh flowers. The whole place was totally quiet, overlooking the sea and open fields, with glass sliding doors, and surrounded by spring flowers, We sat looking at the sunset over the sea with a glass of bubbles, it was totally relaxing. We met the lovely landlady who said she had wanted her guests to have the very best, and she certainly did - we both had the very best holiday, the location and quality of the accommodation was just perfect. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Loved the bottle window. Bed really comfortable and amazing views to greet you in the morning. Quiet and secluded, very relaxing. Well equipped kitchen and lovely furnishings. Only criticism is for the shower. Although powerful extremely noisy and unnecessarily complicated. Felt like you were in a caravan shower. The plastic tray squeaks every time you move and the water sounds like a very loud drum on the shower tray. Lights and a radio, which you can't hear above the noise of the shower, is not relaxing or energising. Put in a standard good quality shower with tiles and shower tray and the accomodation would be perfect. Wine and chocolates a lovely welcoming touch. Can't wait to book again.

The property

This stunning little studio is the perfect spot to get away from it all and truly unwind.

So much care and attention has been put into the details, from the sheltered outdoor seating area all the way down, to the handmade coloured glass bottle window.

And all of this before even mentioning “those views”! There is a well equipped kitchen area with gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, and the dining table looks straight out across the views.The sitting area has a large comfy sofa and a small TV with sky basic package.King size bed with luxurious bedding and plenty of storage.

The bathroom has a double headed walk in shower, loo, hand basin and towel radiator.

Sliding doors open up to a decked area which leads down again to a walled seating area.There are various other seating areas around the studio to unwind and enjoy the view. "What a splendid romantic retreat and with the most fantastic views that you don’t even have to get out of bed to enjoy!" West Mouse View holiday cottage gets its name for a reason, and it won’t take you long to realise.

With breath-taking views out to sea you have a perfect view of West Mouse, an islet off the coast with its white beacon to guide ships. You can get straight out and explore the stunning scenery, and if you are happy with a few hills the picturesque Church Bay is just around 2 miles away where you can enjoy a bite to eat at the Wavecrest before continuing along the coastal path.

Church Bay nestles on the stunning north west coastline of Anglesey, boasting a superb seafood restaurant and a Blue Flag sandy beach, renowned for its safe, family fun, excellent kayaking, fishing and birdwatching. Close by, the village of Llanfaethlu provides a local shop and a Post Office (open on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, providing an opportunity to see corn being ground the old fashioned way, while the surrounding countryside boasts excellent fishing, birdwatching and coastal walks, with climbing on offer in Snowdonia. Indulge in fabulous watersports, including kitesurfing, diving and sailing at the stunning Rhosneigr beach, or enjoy 18 holes at a choice of three local golf courses. Spend the day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, visit the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, take a boat trip past Plas Newydd Mansion or indulge in a day trip to Ireland.
