“We had a wonderful holiday at The Old Post Office!”

The situation of the property is beautiful and so well appointed to enjoy the views of the Bay. The property itself is lovely, with extra little touches like a welcome pack - there were even dog treats and toys! We will definitely stay again.

The property

The Old Post Office is a delightful end of terrace cottage in a slightly elevated position in a stunning beachfront location, in the pretty village of Bull Bay on the Isle of Anglesey.

This lovely cottage enjoys fantastic uninterrupted sea views over the bay and rocky inlets and is perfect for couples, friends and families, where you'll feel immediately at home.

The accommodation is set over three levels, with the spacious sitting room boasting a modest dining area with banquette seating around the table and a picture window framing those fantastic views.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast or late supper and you'll be able to enjoy the ever changing vista and perhaps spot the odd dolphin if you're lucky.

The three bedrooms provide good family accommodation; wake up in the morning and no matter what the weather you'll be able to enjoy the wonderful views of the bay and sea from the double and twin rooms.

Outside this lovely cottage is an enclosed front patio area enjoying a sunny aspect, an ideal place to relax with a glass of something after a busy day on the beach, exploring one of the many coves, or walking one of the many walks on the renowned Anglesey Coastal Path which is right next to the cottage.

Follow the sun around to the rear paved terraced garden in the evening, or why not venture out to the hotel with bar, serving food in the village so you don't have to worry about planning any meals?

This little cove, which is also known as Porth Llechog (sheltered bay) to the locals is overlooked by the town of Amlwch, plenty of facilities close at hand.

Luckily for you , Bull Bay is entirely dog friendly , which means your dogs are allowed to run and play on the sands/pebbles at any time of year.

There are also plenty of activities that you can take part in, don't forget to bring your snorkel, wet suit, to dive of the rocks or walk through the rock pools and the opportunities for fishing are plentiful in and around the bay.

If you fancy launching your small boat, dingy, rib, or going kayaking, from Bull Bay , there is no launch charge.

An 18-hole golf course is just a short walk away, and the cottage is well placed for visiting the attractions of Anglesey, including Beaumaris, NT Plas Newydd and the watersports centre of Rhosneigr.

Head back to the mainland and spend a day in the mountains of Snowdonia, or hop onto a ferry at Holyhead for a day trip to Dublin.

This cottage is sure to delight and is an ideal base all year round for a relaxing holiday in an amazing coastal location.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

BULL BAY

Amlwch 1.5 miles.

Bull Bay, or Porth Llechog in Welsh, which means "sheltered bay", is a picturesque seaside village on the northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey. It is the most northerly village in Wales, and boasts wonderful coastal scenery, with the island of East Mouse lying within the bay, which is rocky, shingly and offers rockpools for shrimping and crabbing. The village has a hotel with restaurant and bar, an excellent golf course, wonderful scenic walks along the renowned Anglesey Coastal Path and exciting fishing and bird watching. 1.5 miles east is the old port of Amlwch, and Parys Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the Copper Mine Trail Walk amidst the old ruins of what was once the world's largest copper mine in the 18th century. Amlwch's harbour dates back to the Middle Ages, and once was a thriving port. Enjoy the medieval town of Beaumaris, with its 13th century moated castle, museums, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, a sea zoo, Plas Newydd mansion, or take a day trip into Snowdonia, or visit Dublin from the nearby port of Holyhead.
