Greystones Chapel is a stunning, converted, detached chapel located on the outskirts of Llanrug in the heart of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Full of character and charm, this impressive property combines its original features with contemporary design, providing a stylish base for friends and family to explore the delights of Eryri (Snowdonia).

As soon as you walk through the chapel’s original double doors, you’ll be greeted by an impressive and spacious hallway, complete with large chandeliers and grand arched doorways leading off to four light and airy bedrooms.

Before exploring this unique abode, be sure to make use of the fantastic utility room, the perfect place to kick off your walking boots after a day exploring the surrounding countryside, with access to a handy double walk-in shower room.

As you walk along the hallway, retaining a wealth of its original features, arrive at an attractive lounge; a stunning space that opens up to the first floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive, vaulted ceiling.

Spend your evenings snuggled up in front of the woodburning stove accompanied by your loved ones, or escape reality and enjoy a family film night on the Smart TV.

The ground floor is also home to four spacious bedrooms where you can take your pick from two king-size rooms, one of which boasts an attractive en-suite shower room and dressing area, and one super-king size room, or a twin room housing two double beds; all of which provide the ideal space to relax and unwind in preparation for another day's adventure.

After a day hiking in the mountains or cycling through enchanting forests, choose to indulge with a long soak in the bath or invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower in the family bathroom, which services all four bedrooms.

As you walk upstairs, you’ll have a chance to admire the incredible vaulted ceiling and bright, airy atmosphere that the open-plan living space creates, not forgetting the character-filled balcony overlooking the ground-floor lounge.

The fully-equipped kitchen will allow you to cook up your favourite meal before gathering around the dining table to catch up with loved ones and toast to a wonderful holiday, whilst appreciating the tasteful blend of traditional and contemporary features, such as the original chapel pews and atmospheric lighting.

Enjoy a game of pool with your friends and family in the games room or grab a book from the extensive bookshelf and snuggle up on the sofa in the upstairs sitting room, with delightful hillside views.

Find a cloakroom up here for your convenience, tucked behind the bookshelves of the games room, boasting stained glass windows adding even more character to this one-of-a-kind property.

Back downstairs, find a charming, enclosed terrace garden, accessed through the patio doors leading from the lounge, perfect for enjoying in the summer months accompanied by an evening glass of wine or perhaps a spot of alfresco dining together with your loved ones.

Cwm-y-Glo is a small village on the outskirts of Llanrug, where you will be able to stock up on your favourite treats or enjoy a cold drink in a local pub, perfect for a night away from the kitchen with some tasty pub grub.

Just a short drive away is the popular village of Llanberis, packed with plenty of attractions to keep you and your loved ones busy for days, such as The National Slate Museum, Dolbadarn Castle and the Snowdon Mountain Railway, taking you on a journey to Wales’ highest peak, Mount Snowdon.

About the location

LLANRUG

Llanberis 2 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles.

Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and many wonderful beaches.
