Hosts were very approachable and kindly. Previous reviews we read gave us high expectations. These were met in full. Terry and Audrey have done so well in showing what a good holiday let should be. Arrived to a beautiful gift basket with lots of Welsh treats! (Thankyou for that such a lovely touch). Enough room for us 5. Plenty of activities for the kids and the owners was more than welcome to help at any time and couldn’t do enough for us! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

“This was a lovely cottage in a great place, and a cracking pub with available food, just 2 minutes walk away, and a very central spot giving great access to everything Anglesey has to offer.”

What I didn't realise was the proximity to a quick stretch of road, however with no kids it was no issue to us. Very limited outside space, but what there is, 2 chairs and a table, was a lovely little spot. TV didn't work much, freeview kept breaking down, which was frustrating on the couple of nights we chose to stay in, however, not the end of the world. Everything else was spot on, and all could be forgiven after the little Welsh(ish) hamper left for us on arrival which was absolutely lovely. Thanks to our hosts for a lovely week.

Everything you might need on a self catering holiday was available. The warm welcome we received was lovely, as was the welcome pack of milk, bread, Welsh tea bags, bara brith cake etc. We would certainly recommend the accommodation to any one looking to stay on Anglesey, and are already considering returning next year. Just a couple of issues. As we are registered disabled, a handrail in the sloping corridor would be most helpful, as would a grab rail in the walk in shower and chrome shower basket/shelf for toiletries etc. Other than that, we couldn't find fault. Thank you again for making us welcome.

The location is perfect for exploring both the island and the mainland, and the owners could not have tried harder to accommodate us and our 11 month old twins. “We have used Menai twice in the past and loved it both times.”

We were very disappointed in the location of this particular bungalow. We knew it fronted onto a road but did not realise it was the main road with a constant stream of lorries, vans, tractors and cars passing by as well as people obviously . We were aware the property had no garden but had a small enclosed courtyard. I think you have been rather careful with your choice of words here as we felt we could not sit out there at all as the sitting area is merely an extension of the path leading to the door and as such open to all the passing traffic etc. Not at all what we’re seeking in a relaxing holiday. I understand this might be purely personal choice but found the low backs of the sofas very uncomfortable .Perhaps you might mention the pub within walking distance does not serve food. This was a big thing for us as we had planned eating there every night

The friendly, welcoming owners live next door so on hand for anything you might need. The welcome pack with milk, bread, butter, sugar, tea, coffee and homemade fruit cake was much appreciated. The cottage is on a main road but most of the traffic was farm vehicles and really didn't bother us. The A55 is just up the road so access is good to all the major attractions. I would highly recommend this cottage as a very comfortable base to explore Anglesey.

Bwthyn Tyn y Coed is a comfortable and modern ground-floor cottage, located in the village of Bryngwran, near the west coast of Anglesey, in close proximity to the beaches of Rhosneigr, countryside walks, cycle routes and many of Anglesey's attractions. This comfortable, modern property is suitable for a family of five or a group of friends looking to enjoy an exciting rural getaway. Unpack your bags in one of the two amazing bedrooms; a double room with en suite and a family room with a double and single bed. After an action-packed afternoon look forward to unwinding into the evening in the open-plan living room and kitchen/diner with it's bright feature wall, two sofas and wall mounted TV with DVD player, as well as, dining table and chairs, where you can delight in quality time over delicious home-cooked meals. Fulfilling your culinary needs is the well equipped contemporary kitchen where the designated chef can impress, whilst socialising with everyone around the dining table. At the end of a fun-filled day, enjoy a soak in the main bathroom before bedtime, or freshen up under the shower over the bath, or in the en suite, before your morning coffee. The cottage even boasts a washer/dryer, wonderfully convenient after a day at the beach. Bwthyn Tyn Y Coed provides an excellent base to explore the Isle of Anglesey and North Wales.

Snowdonia mountain range is only a 30 minute drive away, and only 8 miles in the opposite direction takes you to the Port of Holyhead, where you can catch a ferry for a day trip to Ireland.

Alternatively you can visit South Stack with it's amazing birdlife, scenery and lighthouse. A short drive away is Rhoisneigr, which has a varied history, including a 6th Century church, tales of smugglers and off-shore shipwrecks. Choose Bwthyn Tyn Y Coed as your base for an unforgettable holiday to North Wales.

BRYNGWRAN

Rhosneigr 5 miles; Holyhead 7.8 miles; Bangor 17.2 miles.

Bryngwran is a small village and community located on the main trunk road to Holyhead. It lies 8.1 miles west of Llangefni and 5 miles from the popular seaside village of Rhosneigr and is home to a local pub. The location is perfect for touring the island with easy access to the A5. A short drive will take you to the beautiful west coast of Anglesey, famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches. Rhosneigr has a varied history including a 6th century church, tales of smugglers, famous off-shore shipwrecks and from the Edwardian era it has been a fashionable holiday destination. Today it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. The market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor are within easy travelling distance. Close by is the Anglesey Race Circuit, great for lovers or car and motorbike racing, while on the island you will find Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Beaumaris Castle. Boat trips around Puffin Island offer the chance to see nesting puffins and guillemots, or cross to the mainland and enjoy Victorian Llandudno’s shopping, restaurants and dry ski slope, the mountains of Snowdonia and the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula.
