“We had a great stay at Royal Oak Cottage .”

It is in a lovely location right on the harbour side with the coastal path on the doorstep and a short drive brings you to beautiful beaches . The cottage is spotlessly clean , warm, cosy & very well equipped , absolutely everything had been thought of. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch, there were even treats for our pooch . Communication from the owners was excellent . One of the best cottages we have stayed in !

“The cottage was perfect lovely little welcome bottle of wine and dog biscuits and some delicious fresh local milk.”

The bed's were comfy and it was lovely and warm. The cottage is in a perfect location to see all the best parts that Anglesey has to offer. The village has two lovely pubs and a cafe with delicious breakfast. Some lovely walks from the village itself and the port was a hit with the kids. We will definitely be back. Thank you

“Need to highlight that there are 4 stone steps into the kitchen for the benefit of those with mobility issues or very young children and a lock on the door to the downstairs loo would be welcome.”

Otherwise a lovely, well fitted out cottage with all you could possibly need. Really enjoyed our stay. Nice, quiet location. Very relaxing.

Dear Denise, Many thanks for your feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes, we have added a lock to the bathroom door and plan to with the cloakroom too. There are four steps with a handrail from living room to kitchen, though of course the stairs to the first floor bedrooms and bathroom (as shown in the pictures) is probably more of a consideration for anyone with mobility issues and/or young children. It had everything that we needed & was very comfortable & homely. Well stocked Co-op nearby & fantastic gluten free chippy just down the road. This was a great base to explore the beaches of Anglesey & we were very lucky to have the weather on our side. Our hosts gave us a lovely welcome & provided excellent communication before & during our stay.

Great coastal walks all around. The Cottage was well maintained and very clean. We had to leave early a the car broke down and had to be towed back to Staffordshire. Un finished business we will have to come back.

There is a Local chippy; 2x pubs down the road and the port is 30 seconds away to watch Local fishermen bringing the catch home. We had to Leave early Due to a family emergency, But !!! We will Definitely Book this cottage again.

“A faultless experience from start to finish.”

A well-equipped and clean cottage in a perfect location to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia. Thoughtfully, the cottage comes with a "spare" of anything the dog owner may have forgotten. The washing machine was a great asset as was the large fridge freezer. The owners have thought of every last detail in this period cottage equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom. With the personal touch of being contacted by the owners just before and at the end of our visit, The Royal Oak Cottage deserves a 5-star review.

“We had a lovely break, it's good it's detached & the beds were very comfy & a decent shower is always a plus.”

..the downside being that the property is on a corner & therefore it used as a turning circle mind you it didn't help as filming was going on on the quayside so maybe that has increased traffic.

“Had a very pleasant break.”

The cottage is in a great location. The kitchen is very small but very well equipped. We had to use the electric fire most evenings as a little chilly with just the one radiator in quite a large lounge/dinner. The bed small compared to what we're used to but matress comfortable. The shower is lovely. Great communications from owners.

Almwych Port has everything you need - 2 pubs, a cafe, fish and chips, ice-cream and a gorgeous creperie. Lots of lovey walks with gorgeous views of the coast and a supermarket a short drive away. “The cottage is in a fantastic location in Amlwch Port with a short walk to the jetty and coastal path one way and the other is two lovely pubs, a fish and chip shop and creperie.”

The cottage is cosy and decorated beautifully throughout in a beach/nautical theme. The beds were super comfortable, kitchens fitted with all the mod cons and bathroom had an amazing waterfall shower. The milk, biscuits and wine welcome pack was a lovely gesture and made us smile after 4 hours on the road. We would definitely recommend Royal Oak Cottage to both couples and families. The addition to accepting pets makes it more desirable.

“Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.”

Happy with all facilities and rain shower head was a favourite with members of our group. The cottage was comfortable and tastefully decorated for a seaside cottage. A good size dining table for meals and playing games! Although a tiny outside space we managed a drink and snacks in the sun! No problem for our dog as plenty of lovely walks straight outside cottage front door. Info provided in cottage useful and there was a welcome pack including doggy treats which was very thoughtful. Parking was fine and not far to many interesting places and lovely beaches.

The house was comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. It was also located in a spot which was convenient to explore the beautiful isle of Anglesey. There were lovely beaches, coastal walks and really good eating places in the near vicinity and the weather was fabulous too which mad it even more perfect. “On arrival we found Royal Oak Cottage immaculately clean and welcoming.”

Kitchen was very well equipped and maintained. Lounge cosy and very comfortable, double bedroom comfortable. We didn’t use second bedroom but again it was crisp, clean and spacious. Bathroom was to a high standard, spacious with a super shower. All appliances & TV etc. were of high quality and helped to make the stay very relaxing and stress free. Position of the cottage adjacent to harbour and a short walk to coastal path made it ideal for easy dog walks. The pub just over the road was very welcoming and friendly. An ideal spot for an Anglesey break!!

In a great position walks to the harbour, costal walks and a great beach at Lligwy beach [LL72 8NN] 20 mins away. Two pubs and a good chippy near by. We would recommend the Parys Mountain copper mine walk , best dog walking beach in Wales few miles along the coast Lligwy, for historic buffs Din Lligwy worth a visit 2k yr old historic settlement and 4.5k yr old burial chamber

“The property was lovely however, not dog friendly if your dog needs to go out during the night.”

The courtyard was very small and there was a huge bench outside the back door which stopped any access. Apart from that it was really nice and central.

“Perfect location for a quiet family holiday, right by Almwch Harbour with beautiful views, geat for a stroll down to the loft for refreshments.”

Cottage had everything we needed, comfortable, nice modernised main bathroom, only a small space outside but given its great location wasnt an issue. Can recommend both the Chippy and Caban y Cei as great easy local options for food. Would happily return here for another break.

“Really lovely period cottage in a great place near the port.”

Nice touch of welcome wine and biscuits on arrival. The port has a pub, chip shop, great cafe, kiosk and Co -op just a short drive away. Plenty of free parking near the cottage. A great base to be with easy access to beaches and other attractions. The cottage itself has a great living/dining room. It was really cool on those very hot days we had. The bathroom is nice and really up to date. The bedrooms were clean and tidy. I am used to a larger bed for more room. The single beds in the 2nd bedroom were great for a family. Great tv, washer, dish washer to use in the evening. I loved all of the decorations throughout the cottage that made it feel like a seaside cottage. This cottage has only been available for a short time so I am sure updates will be made. The only criticism I would make is to update the kitchen because it was looking worn. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the cottage to others. We would definitely book the cottage again.
